I love changing out my wreaths in my house often since it’s such a simple way to add new life to a room and change up it’s feel. Yesterday I showed you how I made a bunch of yarn pom-poms and needed a purpose for them, so I decided to combine my love of yarn and wreaths and make this super easy yarn pom-pom wreath!
Warning: This wreath is so simple to make, but it does take awhile to make all of the pom-poms. Also, I used 3 whole skeins of yarn to make enough pom-poms to cover the whole wreath so definitely buy a little extra just in case!
To make this wreath, you will need:
yarn (3 or more skeins!)
straw or styrofoam wreath
I like to use straw wreaths sometimes since they are a little thicker than styrofoam and also much cheaper, but it depends on the finished look you want. I was going to take off the plastic off of it, but in the end decided to leave it on so it was less messy.
Essentially to make this wreath there are only two steps: one- make the pom-poms and two- glue them on! If you are unsure on how to make the pom-poms, check out this whole post on how to make them. They are easy to make, but you do need a lot! To hang it, I just used a piece of the same color yarn and called it a day.
This wreath has a very different look than my other wreaths, which is why I love it so much! It’s fun and funky and it a definite conversation piece. You can use one color for it like I did, or you can do a variety of colors (which I think would look awesome too!).
