Marriage is a funny thing: two people join all parts of their lives together to become one. My husband and I will be married will celebrate our 10 year anniversary early next year and have learned A LOT about one another over that time. We know how important it is to have our own space and interests, and also have plenty of combined ones! One of the biggest parts of marriage is learning what’s yours is mine and what’s mine is yours.
Stealing Sharing in marriage is a common thing- what does YOUR husband steal from you?
I know that borrowing/stealing from one another goes hand in hand, along with listening and talking, arguing and making up, and pushing, pulling and finally, compromising. Marriage is all about finding a way to combine two lives into one. With that, is combining each other’s belongings and daily habits. I know my husband and I (more him than me!) are constantly using each other’s stuff. Here’s just some of what my wonderful husband likes to steal from me:
My husband says he doesn’t want me to buy any face products, but his actions say otherwise when I am always finding my face scrubs, washes creams on his side of the sink! I don’t mind and I am actually quite glad because I am always telling him how important skin care it- I just wish he’d let me buy him his own products!
Late Night Snacks
Once the kids are in bed, I love having a little snack. Chips and salsa are is one of my faves and I have to be sure to get double because I know my husband will be stealing some of mine. It’s a good thing that we have the same taste in snacks!
Yes, every night I am finding my covers missing and look to my left and see my husband all cozy and warm hogging them all! I then have to give him a little push so he will release his death grip on them so I can steal some back and also be warm and cozy.
Who doesn’t love a sweet treat after dinner?? One of my favorites (and by coincidence, also my husbands!) are these new Skinny Cow Chocolatey Dipped Ice Cream Sandwiches. These little treats are full of creamy ice cream with chocolate wafers fully dipped in a thick, velvety chocolatey coating. (My) Our favorite is the Vanilla Bean Dream, but they also come in Ultimate Chocolate, and Creamy Caramel. They are SO delicious and just perfect for that after dinner treat.
Every time I say I am in the mood for something sweet, he’ll say, “I’m ok!” and then proceeds to eat most of mine! But all is fair in love and war, I guess! I’ve loved the Skinny Cow brand for ages and love their whole line of right for you indulgent treats and give me just what I want and nothing more!
Does your husband steal from you too? What’s on your “borrowed” list?
