If you have kids in school, chances are you are already familiar with the supply lists that come home at the beginning of the year. Those lists are so important for helping stock your kids classrooms with supplies for the whole year. Most school budgets are so small now a days that sometimes the only supplies they will get are the ones that parents bring in the beginning of school. Having taught 1st grade for 7 years, I how fast those supplies can be used up, so here is a handy list of things that are always good to donate to your child’s classroom, no matter when during the year it is! Keep this list handy when you are curious what you think your child’s class needs.
1. Hand Sanitizer
3. Cardstock/Colored Paper
4. Printer Paper
5. Classroom Snacks
6. Dry Erase Markers
8. Writing Paper
9. Glue Sticks
10. Small Prizes/Rewards for treasure boxes
One last thing to add to this list- YOUR TIME! It is always a welcome thing to donate to to your child’s teacher, even if it’s once a month or even offering to take something home to do. No teacher will turn down an extra pair of hands!
What is your favorite thing to donate to your child’s class?
