Since summer has been upon us for awhile now, I have been wanting to make a summer-themed yard wreath for my door, but time is always against me. I finally bit the bullet and decide to make a simple one, one that would be perfect for summer but not take me too long either. This wreath is made with a gorgeous nautical blue yarn and some seashells- that’s it! Very easy.
To make this wreath, you will need:
straw or styrofoam wreath (I used straw because it’s thicker and I like how it looks)
hot glue gun
sea shells (any kind you want)
ribbon (for hanging)
– Wrapping the yarn is simple but time consuming. Glue one end of the ribbon on the back of your wreath and being wrapping until it’s completely covered. Make sure you don’t have any wreath showing on the front!
– After it’s wrapped, glue the other end of the yarn to the back and let it dry. Then glue the sea shells in whatever pattern or arrangement you want and lastly, tie a ribbon around the top to hang it. Done!
I love how this wreath looks, it makes me feel like I’m at the beach, which, unfortunately, I am not. At least my wreath makes me feel like I am.
