In case you hadn’t noticed, it’s football season! The season is gearing up for the most exciting part: the final big game! Whether you are going to a party or watching it at home with some friends, food and drinks are an essential part of this event. The right snacks can make or break this event, so spice up your party by showcasing your treats in an exciting way but making a snack stadium! If you’ve ever searched the internet for “snack stadiums” then you may have seen some pretty elaborate displays- so, if you are anything like me, then you probably have just shut your computer and walked away. Well, have no fear folks, creating a snack stadium can be easy and fun- and by showcasing it with my so simple 7 layer dip, your snack stadium will be the highlight of your whole party- and won’t cause you gray hair to set it up.
There’s just something about football that can bring a gang together- the cheering, the competition, the excitement- it’s so much fun! If you are hosting a party this year, whether it be for just a few friends or a whole house full, why not bring some of that Game Day excitement into your snacks? By setting up this simple snack stadium, you can have all of your treats in one place and display them in a fun way.
This snack stadium is so easy to make! All you will need are some disposable pans and clear plastic cups. Once it’s complete, you can fill it with whatever treats you wish. I like to make mine as simple to eat as possible by using mini containers and cups to help house the snacks- this way, your guests can snag a little treat and get back to watching the big game! I also like to vary my snacks by incorporating sweet treats like Skittles® and Mini SNICKERS®, salty snacks like TOSTITOS® chips and salsa, popcorn and pretzels. This variety ensures that all of your guests will find something they love! Don’t forget to bring out some Pepsi™ too!
I love that my local Walmart has all of my Game Day snacks in one place, for such a great price too. No need to break the bank when it comes to celebrating. I can head down the candy aisle and grab my big party sized bags of Skittles® and Mini SNICKERS®, and then head down to the snacks and get some TOSTITOS® chips and chunky salsa, then swing by and snag some 12 oz bottles of Pepsi™ and I am good to go! I can be in and out in no time, and save some money in the process.
Make sure you set up your snack stadium on a large table, so you have plenty of space for all of your delicious snacks!
To construct the snack stadium, it couldn’t be easier. You will need 1 disposable cake pan, 12 mini loaf pans, 4 deep roasting pans and some tin foil. Place the cake pan in the middle and surround it with some of the mini loaf pans. Then to add a second layer to your stadium, place the deep roasting pans with one more mini loaf pan on each one. Finally, use some folded tin foil to bridge the gap between the first layer of mini loaf pans.. In my smaller pan, I alternated mini containers of ranch with ones of my 7 layer dip, and then around the edges I filled it in with a variety of treats: chips, pretzels, popcorn and some sweet candy treats. All together, the snacks combine to make this super fun snack stadium perfect for any game day party!
To make the mini 7 layer dips couldn’t be any easier: just layer your ingredients and you are done! In mine, I used this combo: Layer 1: refried beans mixed with some taco seasonings for flavor; Layer 2: sour cream; Layer 3: guacamole; Layer 4: TOSTITOS® salsa; Layer 5: cheese; Layer 6: tomatoes; Layer 7: green onions and olives– then you are done! So easy, right?
So whether you are watching the Big Game with just your family, or a whole house full of friends, this simple snack stadium with my so easy 7 layer dip is a must! It will be a a huge hit with your guests, no matter which team wins. For more game day recipes and ideas, be sure to swing by here and check out all of the awesome ideas.
