Halloween has come and gone and chances are, you are left with a whole lot of leftover candy! If you are like me, you’ll munch on a few pieces but then think that you need to get rid of this STAT! We often will donate some of it to my husband’s work, but I also like to try and incorporate it into some new recipes so it can have new life. Since my kid’s favorite meal of the day is “dessert”, this is one place I love adding some fun and whimsey into. If you have some extra candy corn laying around, you can use some and create some super yummy and silly turkey pudding cups– just in time for Thanksgiving to arrive!
These silly turkey pudding cups are so easy to make and lots of fun to eat! They are perfect for a weeknight dessert or even a kid-friendly treat at the Thanksgiving dessert table. They are so easy to make, you can get your kids to help you make them too!
The real star of these turkey pudding cups are the 60% bigger SUPER Snack Pack Puddings! They are the perfect solution of helping to use some of that extra Halloween candy you are left with once all of the trick or treaters have gone. This recipe pairs one of my kid’s favorite treats- Snack Pack pudding cups, with delicious leftover candy mix-ins. The possibilities are truly endless when it comes to the combinations you can make with your leftover candy! These silly turkey pudding cups are fun, portable and ready-to-eat that are convenient for seasonal gatherings or even for a weeknight dessert!
To make these cups, you’ll only need a few things:
any flavor Snack Pack Pudding cups, (we used chocolate, vanilla and the combo flavor)
oval cookies
black tube icing
eyeball candies
leftover candy corn
I love to grab my Pudding Cups at Walmart, since their prices are so low and it’s convenient for me to grab them when I am there to get some other household items on my list. These pudding cups are in the snack aisle, right near the cookies!
To make the silly turkey faces, lay your cookies out and get your materials ready to be glued on with the icing. First glue on the eyes and then a piece of candy corn for the beak. You’ll only need a teeny drop of icing to stick them on, and I just used the kind you use to write on a birthday cake, so you didn’t have to worry about spreading any around.
Next, place some candy corn around the sides and back of your pudding cup for the turkey feathers, just sticking them in slightly into the pudding.
Finally, take your cookie/turkey face and stick it into your pudding and then you are finished! It’s as simple as that! These cute little desserts are so fun to make and eat, your kids will be wishing they sold candy corn all year ’round! So next time you have a big bowl of candy corn, don’t throw it away- combine some with a yummy chocolate or vanilla Snack Pack Pudding cup to make a fun and silly dessert that your kids will love!
I love how easy these are to assemble- and cute too! We always have leftover candy corn come November, finally a use for them! #client
