The other day I had sick kids and knew I was going to be on the move all day. I wanted to get some quick nutrition in that I could eat on the go and this smoothie was the answer! It’s simple to whip up and chock full of protein to give you lots of energy! I topped mine with chia seeds, you could leave this off if you wanted, but they are so good for you, why would you want to do that!
What you’ll need:
1/2 c. ice
1 T. natural peanut butter
1/4 c light vanilla almond milk
1/4 c. skim milk
1 large scoop vanilla protein powder (chocolate would be yummy too!)
1 medium banana
1 t chia seeds
* Place all ingredients in your blender and blend until smooth. Top with a spoonful of chia seeds.
If you wanted dairy free, you could use all almond milk, but the kind I had is sort of sweet, and I didn’t want mine to be too sweet, so I used half regular milk.
This smoothie was super yummy and nice and filling, perfect for breakfast on-the-go!

My kids love it too, minus he chia seeds lol!
As a mother of two, I completely understand how difficult it is to whip up full meals for yourself all the time. I like this on-the-go smoothie, even more so because it contains chia seeds and PB.
I agree! This smoothie is yummy, I hope you like it if you try it!
Thanks for the recipe, I can’t wait to try it. Here’s one that I’ve been drinking lately has 8 oz passion fruit juice, 1 banana 2 tbsp cooked oatmeal (I make a batch ahead of time and keep it in the fridge), frozen fruit (I change the fruit to whatever I feel like. Lately it’s been a tropical fruit mix), small handfull of raw spinach or kale and 1 tbsp of chia seeds. I also add a little ice because I like it super cold.
Thank you! That sounds yummy too, I’ll have to give that a try ๐
