Peanut butter and jelly met and fell in love, got married and had a baby- and this smoothie is it! My kids love smoothies and want to have them all of the time. They are a great way to get in a quick breakfast when time is running short that is full of protein and fruits and will keep them full all day at school. This PB & J Smoothie is easy as pie to make, and tastes amazing! It’s also a pretty, pretty pink color- so it’s perfect for Valentine’s Day too.
To make this smoothie, you’ll combine some ingredients that you probably already have on hand, and blend them until they are smooth. It combines two flavors that most kids LOVE- peanut butter and jelly- but in smoothie form.
To make one kid-sized PB & J smoothie, you will need:
5 frozen strawberries
1 tablespoon natural peanut butter
1/4 cup whole milk (or any kind of milk you wish!)
1 teaspoon honey
1/4 cup strawberry yogurt (or one tube of greek yogurt like I did!)
Take your ingredients and blend until smooth.
Serve with a fun straw and call it a day! This smoothie is packed with fruit, vitamin C, calcium, protein and very little sugar. It’s super yummy, healthy and a great substitute or addition to a balanced breakfast. Serve it up before school to send your kids on their way feeling full and with enough energy to be their awesome selves!
