This week we are taking a road trip with our three kids to the mountains. A few days ago, I shared 10 tips for traveling with kids and one of them was to be prepared, which includes making a 1st aid kit!
Keeping a 1st aid kit in the car is a good idea anyways, especially with little kids, you never know when you may need it. There’s no telling when an emergency can strike and it’s good to be prepared with some basic materials.
To make mine, I got a medium sized food storage container with a snapping lid. It’s not too but is deep enough to keep my small bottles upright. I included some basic items that one may need in an emergency. There are obviously many things you could also include, but I feel mine is basically complete!
In my car 1st aid kit I included:
sm. travel spray bottle with hydrogen peroxide
medical adhesive tape
non-hurt “sticks to itself” tape
non-stick sterile pads
flushable cleaning wipes
cotton balls & q-tips
By keeping these essentials in your car, you will be better prepared in case of an emergency! Even if it is just a toddler boo-boo. You don’t want to be in the middle of no where unprepared if THAT happens!
Do you have a first aid kit in your car? What else do you include?
