My youngest is turning 4 this week!! We are having a Lalaloopsy themed party and it will be very colorful. I wanted to make a cute centerpiece for the food table and thought this lollipop tree would make the perfect thing! It’s very easy to make and doesn’t take very much time.
For this, you will need:
– one ceramic pot (small)
– floral foam ball
-ribbon to decorate the pot
– 4 bags of Dum Dums
– hot glue
1. Start by gluing the ribbon onto the pot using the hot glue. You could also decorate the pot a different way, if you wanted. I wanted to keep it simple.
2. Hot glue the foam ball onto the top of the pot. I put a ring around the top of the pot and stuck the ball on. Easy!
I used the floral foam since it’s easier to stick things into. I suppose you could also use the white foam but it’s a bit more dense and also costs more, so stick with the green!
3. Stick the pops in. I started at the bottom and went around and around, creating a new row each time. This project used twice as many bags of pops as I thought, so buy extra! I kept going around until I reached the top. All in all it took around 15 minutes to do, excluding the extra trip to the store because I didn’t buy enough pops the first time.
I plan on using this as decoration and then letting the kids pick some off the “tree” before they leave as a treat. It’s so colorful and VERY easy to make!
