Thank you Moose Toys for sponsoring this post. Get crafty with your kiddo and make “ooniements” with Oonies by Moose Toys this holiday season!
Love the idea of making holiday crafts but don’t like the huge mess that can come with it?? Yea me too! My kids LOVE to craft and create all.day.long- but I really hate the big mess that suddenly appears when they have had their fun. I hate to limit my kid’s creativity, but this time of year, when stresses are high and time is short, I often find myself saying “no” to crafts more often than I like. If you are like me, then you will be equally as excited as I was to hear all about this awesome craft activity that your kids will love and makes almost zero mess: Oonies!
With the weather colder, we can find ourselves inside more and more, which leads to cranky and “bored” kids. Crafts are a great way to combat that and encourage kids to be creative- but the mess that can come with it is NOT fun!!! Recently I had been looking for ways to keep my kids happy and engaged indoors and came across these pretty nifty little toys that really made my kids say WOW!! Ooonies!!!
What are oonies you ask?? Well oonies are cute little balloons that you can blow up and stick together to create all sorts of fun and imaginative creations, like cats, creatures, fish, ornaments…really anything! They are fun for hours and are so easy to make.
The Oonies Starter Pack and the Mega Refill Pack together come with everything you’d need to make all sorts of fun “ooniements”. The inflator is super easy to use and allows you to blow up the oonies to different sizes.
To use it, you place the Oonie inside the inflator pump and it will magically fill the Oonies with air. Afterwards your kiddies can then create towers, trains, or whatever they can imagine, just by sticking the Oonies together once they’re blown up. They even come with fun things like rubber feet, wings, eyes, etc… so that you can make animals and other creatures!
After we learned how to use the inflator pump my kids took over and made all sorts of fun creations! They really loved making some holiday “ooniements” to add to our Christmas decor around the house. Building them kept them busy and happy for such a long time!
I love how entertained my kids were creating their holiday “ooniments” and how creative they ere with them! My older two just wanted to make them to decorate but my 7 year old liked to play with hers too. It kept them busy and happy for such a long time and I loved to see what they came up with!
So if your kids love to craft, be sure to add Oonies to your holiday shopping list- they are the COOLEST way to create and will really help your get through these upcoming cold winter months so you can have some holiday fun with oonies too!
How do you encourage your child’s creativity in the winter?
