This past weekend we took our annual trip to the pumpkin patch and I wanted to do something different with the pumpkin I choose so I decided to glitter-fy it! I don’t think that’s even a word, but oh well! I wanted to make my pumpkin pretty and this was not only pretty but pretty easy to do!
All you’ll need to do this is:
a pumpkin
some mod podge or white glue
a foam brush
glitter
Start by painting the glue on wherever you want the glitter to be. I chose to do just the top of mine, but you could do stripes or the whole pumpkin!
Sprinkle the glitter on over the glue and shake off the excess. That’s all! Super easy, right? You’ll want to let it dry completely before placing in your fall decor. I chose some pretty pink glitter for my pumpkin but you could go more traditional and choose a gold or orange or any other color you wish!
Since you’re not carving this beauty, it’ll last a few weeks as apart of your fall decor.
Makes me think of Cinderella and her magic pumpkin/coach:) I love all this stuff. A friend was telling me she glitters acorns, and I saw another post where they glittered gourds. Thanks for this very descriptive post – I think seeing the actual stages of a project makes it seem very “doable”!
Thank you! It was super easy 🙂
Very cute and I love the idea of only doing the top! I’ve seen some with glitter all over but this looks way cooler!
Thank you! I love it too, and it was SO easy!
I love glittery ANYTHING!! (I always wondered what mod podge was for!!) Loving Wine’d down wednesday!
I love glitter too! These were super easy to make too
