Being a busy stay at home mama, a gym membership isn’t quite in our budget. While someday I hope to fit this in, until then, I am always looking for new and different workouts that I can do at home. One of my favorite things to do is circuit workouts, where you repeat a series of workouts a few times. They help to keep it interesting.
After some tweaking, testing and research, I combined some of my favorites into this full body circuit workout. It’s divided into 4 areas: cardio, arms, legs/butt and abs so you get a “full body” workout at home. All’s you’ll need is a pair of free weights. I used 8 lbs.
It took me about 40 minutes to do 3 rounds of the workout and I burned 350 calories, which isn’t terrible. I felt a little sore the next day too, which is a good sign it worked me out!
What’s your favorite at-home workout for when you can’t get to the gym?
Now that you’ve done a great workout, finish up with drinking a delicious protein smoothie to fuel you for the rest of the day!
This looks awesome – I love workouts that have fairly high reps -I’m all about repetition!!!
Me too! It makes them go by faster 🙂
This sounds like a great workout, thank you for sharing.
Thank you! It’s a good workout and doesn’t take too long haha!
I love this! Just pinned it. Thanks for sharing.
Great!! If you try it let me know!!
could you explain what you mean by “shoulders” and “biceps burners”? I can’t seem to look them up. Thanks!
Here’s a good video on bicep burners https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NuaGfaBd8vY and for shoulders, I guess I should have specified more haha!! I meant shoulder presses, I’ll have to add that on! Thanks for making note of it for me!
Sorry for the dumb question, but one workout means doing one circuit not the whole 4 each reapeated 3 times. Is that right?
Thanks!
Hi! One whole workout is doing each circuit three times in total, so do circuit 1, 2, 3, and 4 and then repeat two more times. Thanks!
