Are you a soccer household? We certainly are here! My oldest has been playing for 5 years and my youngest just completed her first season. My daughter plays club soccer now, which means most evenings and weekend are spent on the sidelines cheering her on! Playing for hours on end can leave my soccer star hungry and thirsty so it’s so important for me to fill her with fuel that will keep her going and give her energy for more. Here’s where my idea for creating the Ultimate Soccer Sideline Kit was born!
I know that first and foremost she needs to replenish her lost electrolytes, and what better way to do that than with an ice cold POWERADE®. POWERADE® is created with ION4® Advanced Electrolytes that helps replenish four electrolytes lost in sweat: sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium. Each bottle of POWERADE® is formulated with Vitamins B3, B6, & B12 to support energy metabolism, and a 6% carbohydrate solution to help provide energy to working muscles- which is just what my little soccer star needs to get her back on the field! I love this team 12 pack too, it has smaller bottles so they are more the size of what my kid’s would drink, and enough for the whole team in one pack!
When picking up my pack of POWERADE® at my local Walmart, I wanted to pack a treat, that was nutritious, delicious and packed with vitamins to give her more energy. I love Walmart’s produce selection- there is ample selection and they have a 100% freshness guarantee. By throwing in some fresh strawberries and bananas, I knew I could whip up some fresh strawberry-banana muffins that would not only fill her up, but help to replace her calories lost which healthy ones.
Look for a coupon on the 12-pack 12 oz POWERADE® packages and you can get $1 off Walmart fresh produce when you buy two 12-pack 12 oz POWERADE®. Hurry this deal is only available while supplies lasts!
Now, what makes this sideline kit truly “ultimate” is this adorable (and SO easy to make!) personalized tote! Just by using puffy fabric paint and a canvas bag, I was able to make my daughter’s current favorite bag. She can tote her snacks and drink to and from practice or games in it and she just loves how it says her name on it. I grabbed the tote and puff paint at Walmart too (convenient!) It’s pretty easy to make too, just start with a pencil drawing of what you want to write and then trace over it with the paint- that way, if you make a mistake, you can fix it before you paint! Be sure to let it dry overnight before sharing it with your soccer star.
Thanks to POWERADE®, some fresh produce from Walmart and a few minutes crafting, I have created one of the most fun (and pretty simple to make too!) ultimate sideline kids that will truly make you the hero of the game. When you are running to and from field to field, things can get pretty hectic- by creating these fun sideline bags, you will not only be creating something useful for your kids, but you are filling them with a snack and drink that will work with their bodies and not against them.
