Cute huh?? This is my favorite Halloween wreath. I am not into all the spooky and gooey stuff on Halloween, I perfect to keep it cutesey.
This wreath is very easy to make and holds up well. It’s perfect to add to your October décor!
What you’ll need:
straw wreath, leave in plastic
black electrical tape
lots of candy corn (at least 4 bags)
ribbon for hanging
clear acrylic sealant spray (it looks like spray paint)
1. Cover the wreath in the tape.
2. Glue the candy corn on in any pattern that you wish. I started on the outside and went all the way around and then did the next inner row and the next, and so on until the whole wreath is covered.
3. Spray it completely with the spray. Do this outside and in a well ventilated area. I did three coats. Make sure you let it dry completely between coats.
4. When it’s totally dry, hang it with your ribbon!
You may be wondering if this actually will last season to season and the answer is: it does! I still have mine from last year and it looks perfect. It sat on my door for a month in the AZ sun and was just fine 🙂 No birdies ate any candy either!
You should make one for your door today! You’re kids will be happy too, because they get to eat any broken candy corn pieces 🙂
