Yesterday I shared my Boston or Bust part one post, sharing all about our vacation to Massachusetts. Today I wanted to share all the deets of the rest of our trip!
Saturday Evening- Besties reunite!
Saturday evening we were lucky enough to have dinner at my friends Tara & Rich’s new house. I got to see my original and bestest friends in the whole wide world: Kate, Tara, Melissa and Beth (and all their hubbies and soon to be hubbies). We had a delicious meal, great conversations and lots of wine and hugs. I miss these girls so much, it was such a blessing to have that time together!
Here are some pics of us then and now:
Us fine ladies in high school (sorry, girls- I just had to share!!)
College ๐
And now! I think we’ve aged very well, if I don’t say so myself!!
Sunday- Family cookout
I don’t have many pictures of this day, but it was fun! We had a nice cookout at my Aunt’s house, the boys watched football, the ladies chatted, and everyone ate yummy food. The kids played outside and collected leaves. It was perfect!
Monday- Plymouth
On our last full day, we decided to head down to Plymouth and show the kids the Mayflower and Plymouth Rock. They enjoyed seeing the sites and walking along the jetty. It poured rain on us for awhile so we didn’t stay too long. After we saw all that there was to see, we headed to a near by jumping place for the kids to play- and did they play! We stayed for hours and they had a blast!
That night we met at my sisters house and got to be together one last time, for this visit.ย Mr. Pea made some homemade alfredo sauce and my brother brought a delicious chocolate cake. It was awesome.
We said our goodbyes that night to part of the family and then goodbye to the rest the next morning. It always so hard to leave. Hopefully things will be changing soon and we will be closer. The trip home was LONG but not too bad. We had an extended layover in Denver and then a long drive home to Tucson. We survived- barely!
This trip was the best spur of the moment decision I’ve ever made.
I’ll leave you with one last college of some fall pictures.
I’ve only been back here for a few days and I’m already homesick! Lots of prayers that we can be home soon ๐
That was our trip to Boston! Thanks for sticking with me and hearing all about it!
I think we’ve aged well too! With friends like us, how could we not!
XOXOX Miss you tons and hope you guys make it closer one of these days!
very pretty! love the fall colors.
color me dumb, but i didn’t know the mayflower existed still? replica? dumb question? don’t hate me. i’ve never been to boston!
xoxo
Haha! That’s ok! It’s a replica, but been there forever so I think it’s really old still lol! But the rock is original! But smaller, I guess it used to be much larger ๐
I love the pretty fall colors on the trees in your photos. I am waiting for the trees to turn colors here, hopefully, in the next few weeks. I am glad that you have enjoyed your trip.
We did! It was amazing and so great to be with family!
