It’s fall and that means it’s time to take your annual trip to the pumpkin patch! I truly love this yearly tradition- and all of the adorable photo opps it promises. The hay bales, the gorgeous pumpkins, the plaid! It’s truly a momtographer’s paradise. While you may have one picture perfect plan in mind, your kids often have other plans and throughout all of the fun (and hay), I often find myself saying the same things, probably like most mothers. So here are 20 things moms find themselves saying at the pumpkin patch:
.Please stay clean.
.Wait! I need to grab my coffee first.
.Can we take some pictures before we roll in the hay??
.Please don’t get lost in the maze!!
.You have corn kernels where?!
.Don’t get sand in your hair!!! I still need a better picture!
.Hold this pumpkin and smile.
.Stand on that hay bale and smile.
.Stick your head in that character cut out thing and smile!
.Let’s all take a family selfie in the corn maze!
.Can we just pretend you and brother get along, just for a moment?
.Really? You have to go potty now??
.No, we aren’t getting any cider donuts.
.Ok, we can get some donuts.
.Mom gets the last donut.
.Just ONE pumpkin each!
.THAT’S the pumpkin you want?
.Wait- how much are those pumpkins???
.Dear Lord, so.much.hay!
.Just one more picture before we go!!
Funny list! Especially all of the “smiles”… we used to do that with our children all the time. I think I would take more candids if I were doing it all over again:)
