Back to school is in full swing here, which means new routines, homework, sports and after school clubs. That also means running from one place to another, often leaving very little time for dinner. If you’re after school time is as busy as mine, then this post is for you! I’ve gathered 20 back to school dinner ideas that are so deliciously easy and perfect for those nights where 30 minutes is really all you have. Even I do love my crock pot, none of these recipes are crock pot meals, since often I forget to take out the ingredients early enough. These meals can be prepared start to finish in 20 minutes or even less so you can have a quick hot meal for your family before you are running out the door to some other practice!
All 20 of these dinner ideas are all kid and family friendly and range in sandwiches, soups and pasta dishes. Some have meat and others are veggie forward, so there is something for everyone! I know as back to school gears up I try to be much better at meal planning so I can shop more effectively and use my precious after school time better not wondering what to make for dinner. So if your life is a chaotic as mine, then jump right in and pin some of these yummy ideas for dinners for later this week!

I like how these don’t require too much prep either, which makes them even more perfect for those nights where you barely can have time to boil water!
Such beautiful photography of all of these yummy meals! It does get crazy once the after school activities set in. So hard to cook and be driving around at the same time! Weekend prepping, and the slow cooker, are also helpful for managing those busy times. I love the little taco bites – so cute… I think kids would love them.
